Charity Fund
Pekin Firefighters Local 524 maintains and operates a Charity Fund. The fund is built using fundraising money generated by Pekin's firefighters through events such as our annual Golf outing. Local 524 uses the money in this fund to support numerous local charities and fundraising campaigns. Local 524 feels that it is important that our members are out in their community making a difference, and the money in this fund stays in the community to serve those who are in need. Fill the Boot
As you probably know, the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) is the charity of choice for the IAFF and Firefighters nationwide. This is no exception in Pekin. Each year around Labor Day weekend we block the streets in Pekin and collect money for MDA.
Schramm School Christmas Party
Schramm School is a school for mentally and developmentally disabled children and teenagers in Pekin and the surrounding areas. One of our favorite events is our annual Christmas Party for the students at Schramm. Each year we arrange activities, entertainment including "The Twelve Days of Christmas" as sung by a group of Pekin
